Guest
Hello, have had a look in the resource library and done a quick search through the forum but was wondering if anyone had a risk assessment they would be willing to share that is specifically for young people on work experience placements please? Found a few that have to be filled in, but we're a bit short on time! TIA
Rea
Wouldnt it be the same one you use day to day? Our work ex. students have a short induction where they are told about confidentiality, security, toileting, fire drills, what to wear and various other things but theres nothing specific to them (I dont think, I havent been involved in that bit for a while). They are viewed as children and so have the same rights of confidentiality and protection aswell.
louby loo
We do specific ones for each of our young work experience students. This includes their limitations as 'young staff members' for example we're a pack-away group so whilst they help set up - they do not lift equipment etc.
SueJ
We give our work placement students a little pack which includes basic rules and regs. and also a covering letter to parents about expectations. Our risk assessment is attached. Hope it is of use. Playworker_Risk_Assessment.pdf
