Nursery Rhyme Role Play

Was just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a role play to go with Twinkle Twinkle???

Not sure off hand, but would the long version help? there are some extra verses which might aid imagination. You could, of course, just use the element of stars to bring in the universe and go for space exploration - which is the Jill Murphy book - Whatever Next? where the bear goes into space up the chimney in a cardboard box - just a thought

We did exactly the same and had a space station with rocket and astronauts, the children loved luminous stars in dark area with torches.

Hi we made our climbing frame into a space rocket, children made star mobiles, pretended to be astronauts, and did foot painting of landing on the moon. We also put our gazebo up indoors with a mobile planetaruim with sparkly christmas lights it was fab.

I'd go for the 'chocolate bar' version and set up a chocolate tasting facility!

Those 'survival'foil blankets are really good for creating a space type theme and you can sometimes pick them up in pound shops etc x
