Tink69
Hi I am trying to find out who childminders have used as their confirmer (signs to say yes thats the students work) when studying with the OU, if you are nursery based you will have a manager/co-worker. We work alone so who can we use. Tink69 Edited June 21, 2010 by Tink69

Tink69
May not have to worry about this now as local funding has been suspended, they are reviewing all budgets due to new govement cuts and looks like they will no longer be able to fund higher level qualification courses. As a childminder I will struggle to fund this myself, I have to wait and see what happens!!!!! Tink69
HoneyPancakes
I'm in the same boat although I haven't started anything yet. I'm wondering if the job situation upon graduation would justify paying for the course myself. Financially, if I put the hours I would be studying into working, and invested the money, might I be financially better off in 10 years time than if I paid for the course and took the risk of a more highly paid job in the future? Or do I want to do that course for higher reasons than financial ones? Time to do some sums. Fe

I am about to start the second part and this time hope to use another childminder who I work really closely with. I might shoot myself in te foot though as all EYCLO's might need reconfirming, what a pain. I cant believe that funding is suspended, I have 1 course left and so far so good although SAR fund is dwindling but I am happy just to have the course fees paid so good luck.
