Guest Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 OK, so in July this year I ended my childcare career (my choice ). I have applied for several jobs, and now have two interviews on Monday for part time shop work. As they are flexible hours and wages not stated, would it be rude of me to take a note pad with me and make notes of these things. Sorry, but I haven't had an interview in 18 YEARS and am a bit rusty , don't want to appear rude to the interviewer but also don't want to forget what they tell me (you know what it's like you get information overload and then things start to merge into one!!) Any advice PLEASE! Quote
Susan Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Sounds sensible to me but no idea whether it be rude or not. Good luck. Quote
sunnyday Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Crikey - I don't know! Can only say that if i was conducting the interview I wouldn't think it rude - the opposite in fact! Anyway not much help there but good luck! Sunnyday Quote
fimbo Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 mmmm not sure, wouldnt they state all this info in the letter offering you the position though? if i were interviewing in not sure how i would feel about the interviewee writing notes -never had anyone do that before so i may find it a little off putting. Inge Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I think I would take a small notebook and pen in an easy accessible place... a pocket, and then ask if they would mind if you took notes. that way you could explain reason why and give them the opportunity to approve or not... I don't think I would feel right without asking permission.. Inge Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 and don't forget that an interview is a 2 way thing; you're seeing if you'd like to work there too!!!! Quote
