Hello all

I hope you can help and throw up some ideas.

I have been teaching for nearly 20 years and now work in a Children Centre with a maintained Nursery school and I am the INCO and teacher in charge of the special support centre for children with speech and language difficulties!

I haaaaaaaaaaave recently completed my NCSL course, leadership pathways, but aprt fro that haven't done any further CPD.

So....I'm wondering what to do xD

I don't want to do an MA, also can't afford it and , call me sad, have no real interest that fires me up anymore.

Crossroads time I think. I'm wanting to move jobs, so narrowly missed the last one, but am STUCK!!

(Doesn't help having a teacher for a husband who knows exactly what he wants to do, is getting funded and enjoys doing it :(:o )

Any suggestions?

Yes, I can't think what else I'd do!! HAve always enjoyed teaching.

I guess it's just that I feel I ought to be doing something more to develop myself . Younger children and those with additional needs are my 'favourites'. I worked in special ed for 10 years before my current job.

:o Thanks for moving me :(

I do like what I do, teaching wise, but I think that with all the extra 'stuff' and a personality clash (being tactful0 it's time to move on..... I enjoy the challenge, but am worried about getting out of touch with schools and I didn't go into this job with a view to looking after baies. Although I'm not officially working with them as they are in day care, there is an expectation that we take an increasingly active interest. Not really what I set out to do.

My husband is now looking at OU courses for me xD (bless)

Hi Kate

Its tough when you're not sure where you want to go next but know that you want to go 'somewhere' next.

Is there any particular 'special need' that fires you up enough to want to specialize in a particular field?

Or is it time for you to teaching either in a special school or in a mainstream school.
