Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am in need of some inspirational ideas for my classes end of year part in the production. The ideal theme would be based around ice creams/ice lollies.. can anyone think of any good songs or rhymes based on this topic??

many thanks in advance!x

How about this to the tune of 'Polly put the Kettle On'

Ice Cream Song

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

With strawberry sauce

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Or there’s none for me

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

With chocolate sauce

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Or there’s none for me

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

I have got a big ice cream

With raspberry sauce

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Lick it quick before it melts

Or there’s none for me

I did have a big ice cream

I did have a big ice cream

I did have a big ice cream

But have no more

When the sun came out that day

Melted my ice cream away

It nearly spoiled my holiday

But not for long

Now I’ve got some more ice cream

I have got some more ice cream

I have got some more ice cream

So I’m OK!

No tune to this one.

5 little lollipops fixed upon a stick.

Shall we have a taste of one?

Lick, lick, lick

Repeat with four etc.

We have the five lollipops made out of card and stuck onto lollipop sticks. Each one is a different colour and we decide what flavour each one is.

ooh we sing that one too Linda, slightly different wording:

5 sticky lollipops sitting on a stick (hold up 5 fingers)

Take a sticky lollipop (child pretends to take finger off)

And lick, lick, lick
