Interview Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I am setting up my own Pre-School (due to open in September) and I have a couple of interviews arranged for today and tomorrow!! I really need some guidance on what I should be asking as I will be going it alone in the interviews!!

Todays interview is for an early years practioner and tomorrows is for the Deputy position, I have searched through the resources and can't seem to find anything.

Really Hope someone can help or I am going to look pretty stupid this afternoon!!

Just had an interview...

Tell us what experience you have of working in a team

Tell us what experience you have of working well with a parent

...of working with the EYFS

...of working with other professionals

...what you can bring to the role

...how you would help to raise standards

Loads of others but brain is addled at the moment

I would go for some questions that give you insight into the person, as well as what they know about the role. So, things like 'what gives you most satisfaction about working in early years' and 'tell me about one strength and one weakness that you have'. Also, something about where they see themselves going in the future - are they viewing it as a career choice or just a job?

Hi Everyone

Thanks for your replys and the questions Jenni B put on here were a great help! The interview went really well and the candidate seems very interested in the position, just hope tomorrows is just as successful!
