Guest Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I knew and yesterday in work the 3-5's went round the whole nursery turning non essential lights/equipment off, even my computer, for an hour! Pre-school Senior asked them what did they think they could/should turn off in each room and then they put "turn it off" stickers next to the things they had turned off! Came round again an hour later and said we could turn things back on! Of course they had a talk and a discussion beforehand and afterwards about what it was all about etc. Children loved it and felt very important! We also gave leaflets and info out to the parents Quote
JacquieL Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 Well it says 'lights' so hopefully we can use our laptops. Candles at the ready! Quote

Guest Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I am indeed sat in darkness. Obviously others in my road haven't heard about it though - i can see many lights on. Can put my lights back on shortly though. Quote
Guest Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 My daughter told me about this a while ago, watched it on the news this morning where they'd turned the lights of on the Sydney Harbour bridge. Time to switch on again, though it's been nice sitting in the dark, feeling sleepy now jackie. Quote
