what you risk assess is probably personal to you and what is in your setting

on mine is chairs stacked correctly

gate locked

step ladders away

toilets clean

covers on sockets

broken equipment

fridge temp

and so on

cant upload as when i did before no one could open it !

we do two a day, morning and afternoon sessions,

 

have similar to Suer, but also

 

fire exits unlocked and not blocked

water temp

spills cleaned up

outside toys are away from doors, to avoid trips

This is very similar to ours. I have it laminated and use a dry wipe marker each day to tick

Yes, you can, but they are generally larger files in doc rather than docx, which is why it was 'invented'. It's possible to do everything in compatibility mode, but you lose some features of word 2007 if you do.

We too use a laminated sheet which covers 2 weeks so we can re-use it.

However, some members of staff have queried how we can prove to Ofsted that we are making daily checks.

Do you photocopy the completed sheet to file as proof?

No, it's a week at a time - and it's pretty obvious it's used. I think if they are sad enough to question it they really are scraping the barrel for something to find!

we use daily checklists but after reading caits post i think il laminate it! its an awful lot of ink and paper to use each day!! and as ofsted has just been i dont they will check back 4 years of lists!!! a good idea cait thanks!!!
