Cait
GreenHippo, I have just made the cornflour recipe but for some reason it is still really sticky........ I've resorted to putting it in the microwave for a bit but to no avail..... what should I do? and mine was really crumbly! we should get together and mix them! green hippo
If play-dough is still sticky I'd put it back on low heat for a few seconds - keep stirring. If still sticky then sprinkle a bit of cornflour on top and roll around a bit. You should find that it's less sticky once it cools? Any luck?? Guest
We used the cornflour dough this week even tho it was a bit sticky - took it outside and used it in the tuffspot with googly eyes, arms etc. The children loved it and weren't bothered by it being a bit sticky as it still came off their hands.... it did improve as the week went on too. The yellow, lemon scented standard playdough went down really well indoors too - the staff said it smelled like lemon meringue pie and the texture was even better than normal. I did put in a whole bottle (mini bottle) of lemon essence and it was definitely worth it!
