Guest Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Help!! We're trying to spruce up our toilet and hand washing area and are trying to locate any suitable chants or rhymes we could display to remind the children when and why to wahs their hands. Has anyone got any ideas?

blondie Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 yes thats the one-well done you - couldnt find my print outs with address on
Cait Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 How about the old chestnut - "This is the way we wash our hands, wash our hands, wash our hands. This is the way we wash our hands, on a cold and frosty morning" You could substitute 'soap our hands' and 'rub our hands' and 'rinse our hands', by which time, after 3 verses they should be clean!
Guest Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 we have taken photos step by step of washing hands procedure and put it up by the mirror and basin. our children seem to enjoy that. also makes it quiet personal with their own photo's there.
Guest Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I think our pics in the bathroom came from Sparklebox!
Guest Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I used www.henrythehand.com for handwashing resources - there are colourings, posters, stickers, wordsearches... It's American & was started by a paediatrician, my minded children (and Ofsted!) thought it was great. Nona
