Deb Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 On occasion, we have suggested to parents that they drop say the extra lunch club so that their debt doesn't rise too much and then agreed a set amount to be paid off each week. Guest Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 My only comment to all of the above, would be that we were advised by the local authority that we COULD'NT exclude a child for late fees if they were on NEG. Yes we could reduce their sessions to the minimum 2.5 hrs a day making it more inconvenient for the parents but not exclude for non payment of fees as this is supplied by the Govt and must remain free. It really galls me when you have a full timer run up a bill but then you can only reduce not exclude.
