catma
Radio 4 played a programme this saturday dedicated to the best book EVER!!!! Have a listen if you missed it. BBC listen again Can you believe it's 35 year old????? How many children now adults have listened to this story? That's an awe inspiring thought. I can't remember a year since I started teaching when I haven't used it for something.

Guest
yup i read somewhere that when George bush (jnr) was asked what his fav book was, he said 'the hungry caterpillar' which was alright till someone discovered that the book was released in the early 70's -which meant that he must have come to read it as an adult- or pehaps that hisliteracy skills enabled him to read this book in adulthood!!!! or perhpas he read it for the first time with this children!
