Guest Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 My daughter has this book on her suggested reading list (only just been offered a place and got reading to do!). Has anyone read it before we fork out the money? The Art of Peaceful Teaching in the Primary School: Improving Behaviour and Preserving Motivation by Michelle MacGrath You can find it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1...=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE Any comments very welcome!
Cait Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Sounds good to me. Not read it though - but looking forward to hearing about it! (I read your post as something to do with bedtime reading - must get my glasses on!)
Guest Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I recommend any of the Sue Cowley books, she's a great author and I'm even in one of them! (The Guerilla Guide to Teaching). She has a really easy style of writing.

You can't just drop that into the conversation and not say anything else! The least you can do is tell us more... wasn't there a 'claim to fame' thread somewhere? Then you wouldn't risk hijacking LJW's thread... Maz
Susan Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Assuming your daughter is in Yr13, she should concentrate on her exams at this stage and read something later! Looks like it could be a good book.
