WChurchill Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Hi all Wanted to make some (or rather decorate) some biscuits or sweets around the theme of snow to fit in with the current weather. Thought I would perhaps cover some maltesers with icing sugar and perhaps some coconut. Haven't thought too much about it. Has anyone any ideas. Difficult to melt chocolate as no kitchen but microwave in staffroom! All thoughts gratefully accepted!
Cait Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 We decorated rich tea biscuits with snowflake patterns using an icing bag and sprinkled granulated sugar onto the wet icing for twinkly effect. Not good for our healthy teeth setting status, so they took them home (tee hee)
Guest Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 we used rich tea biscuits, with white mashmallows covered with coconut....
Guest Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 If you place a lacey piece of paper doley over the top and dust with icing sugar it leaves the pattern on the biscuit.
WChurchill Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 You are stars! Might try a mixture of all! Cait, I think we are on similar lines. Ha
Beau Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Hi Mumm, I'm going to move this into the 'Snow and Ice' topic part of the forum.
Cait Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 They'll taste just as good there! It was also possible to make a gluten-free one, so no-one missed out! We just bought gluten-free biscuits too
