Language Related To Learning And Development

Just wanted to get a consensus of opinion from you all.

 

Are people still refering to the statements before the early learning goals as "stepping stones" or have you found a different name for them. There seems to be some confusion amongst practitioners I have spoken to.

 

I would be very grateful if people would let me know.

Yes I still call the staping stones, I think this is what they are called in the EYFS framework

At my work, they're referred to as "Development Matters" but it's a bit of a mouthful, it has to be said!

That's what the column heading in the L&D section is - so that's what I call them - I must admit I thought 'stepping stones' had been dropped...

I thought stepping stones were gone. Is it development matters up to 40mth then there is some overlap with development matters and elgs in the 40 -50mths?????

So on the Early Years foundation profile what are the first 3 points called? are they called stepping stones for this or developmental points?
