I am apppealing to anyone that might be able to help!!!

I am struggling to find pictorial of evidence of what is, might be and isnt child abuse.

I am looking for hand slap marks, burns, you know the stuff!!!!

I am emotionally exhausted, especially with what is unfolding once again!

I am also now getting worried that I may get a knock on my door any time soon!!

I am planning a 1 to 2 day course on supporting children-child abuse! For ACD Child care and Education Course (Unit 2)

I can do the theory, have powerpoints from Lord Laming report, will look at what has gone wrong again, have downloaded latest DSCF pub on communication, but do just need some examples, as distressing as it is!!!

The problem is our child prot team charge a fortune for a 2 hour talk, and won't share evidence pics!!!!!!!!

Any ideas will be extremely gratefully recieved!

We've always had outside speakers to do our child protection training on courses - that way the tutor is on hand to offer support to those who need it. Do you need to have such a detailed course for the ADC? I don't know what the syllabus calls for - but do you have contacts with other training providers who can tell you what they do?

Hope you get it sorted!

I did a google 'image' search -child protection bruises.

Found this site which gives clear drawings of body sites of suspicious bruising, and there are a few photo's of bruises and burns.

HERE

I hope they help.

Am I being soft? I dont see the need for photos. Peggy's link with the drawing is enough surely? We all know what a bruise looks like and a bite mark and I'm sure if we had a concern about a child, knowing exactly what a cigarette burn looks like wouldnt be top of my list.

Good luck with tutoring it, it sounds like you'll have avery emotive session.

I'm the designated Child Protection Officer for my school and recently completed my level 3 training and at each level have only been presented with diagrams/drawings of possible indicators. All training I've attended has been delivered by LA specialists.

Thanks everyone for your help.

It's a topic I really don't want to deal with! It's my first time with it!

The drawings are just what I need and I have found a few resources that I can use!
