Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Wow! Spent 4 hours last night with 3 other colleagues clearing out our store cupboard.....You don't realise how much rubbish you keep or what nice puzzles you have. It has just been one of those situations where you don't get enough time at the end of the day and everything gets put on the nearest empty shelf. Not anymore!!! We also found tons! of bubble wrap.....so any ideas on what to do with this apart from printing. Quote
Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 last year we covered the floor with it, the children jumped on it popping the bubbles, we pretended it was a cold frosty day and they were jumping on the snow. Children loved it!!!! Quote
mundia Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 you beat me to it simcity, i cant resists popping a bit of bubble wrap.. Quote
Susan Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Its good for fine manipulative control to encourage pincer grips too so just enjoy popping with fingers, between thumb and index finger! Quote
shazzam Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 how about space role-play stick lots to floor lots of layers if you have enough and it could be a planet! or stick on floor under some fake snow/cotton wool to create extra softness for a winter role-play Quote
Guest tinkerbell Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Cover boxes into giant ice cubes and build an igloo or ice palace? Tinkerbellx Quote
Guest Wolfie Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Pop it! Brilliant for developing fine motor skills, perseverance and concentration! Quote
Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Its great for painting on and then using to make print patterns! Once in Morrisons, a little boy had found a piece of bubblewrap from a fruit box and he repeatedly put it in front of the trolley and ran over it! It was fab but it did frighten lots of old ladies! Could it be fun if you taped some to the floor for the trikes and bikes to ride over? If it was in narrow strips it would make them concentrate and steer carefully too! Quote
hali Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 like the sound of that one apple - for me of course Quote
Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Makes lovely lava for a volcano display.....or use for different surfaces to explore resistance with toy vehicles. For example put different materials inc bubble wrap on a ramp and explore which one allows the toy truck to travel further. Quote
HappyMaz Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I once saw a collage picture of a life cycle of a frog with black dots drawn in the middle of the bubbles - makes fab frog spawn.. Maz Quote
