I love having glitter in the water, 'specially when you get it to cover the surface like a mirror - the childen do all sorts with it, and seem surprised when they break the surface and it goes all 'swirly'. I would think you've got some fairly chunky glitter - try some fine stuff, it's a bit more expensive, but sooo effective! Have fun And welcome!!
