Adding Glitter To Water

can anyone tell me how to stop the glitter from goin a horrible mess when i put it in a bottle of water

i want it to float and spin around and all i get is a clumpy mess

help!!!! :o

Hi shoppin snowball - wow! good name! :o

 

I love having glitter in the water, 'specially when you get it to cover the surface like a mirror - the childen do all sorts with it, and seem surprised when they break the surface and it goes all 'swirly'.

 

I would think you've got some fairly chunky glitter - try some fine stuff, it's a bit more expensive, but sooo effective!

Yes Hali, add some glycerine to the water and it acts as a suspension for the glitter. It gives the effect of snow shakers then.

Now i remember why i bought that bottle of glycerine!!! been sitting on my shelf for ages!!!! :o
