A few weeks ago I came across this fabulous site showing ideas for making children's learning irresistible...it is updated regularly and I have really enjoyed looking through so wanted to share :-)

Love the ideas for not using newspapers as a primary 'spill' resource!

I hate using newspaper but plastic can be a pain a clean and difficult to source.

Thank you sooooo much for sharing that link - it's fantastic, I've just spent ages looking at previous entries via the site - so many wonderful ideas which I shall pinch - they seem to be way ahead regarding leaning through play and creativity in Australia.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Am glad! And yes, it is definitely something to keep you from doing other things lol! I loved their idea for Mother's Day - they invited in all the mum's (50 of them!) and their children to the unit from 19.00-20.00 (so people were home to look after the siblings!) and took part in a craft, sing-song around a campfire and story - sounded fab though don't think I would succeed in getting all my mum's to turn up!
