I’ve sewn a few scrub caps too, and getting the elastic and crown right takes more trial and error than you’d expect. A slightly deeper back helps keep everything tucked in, especially with thick or curly hair, while a lighter cap is much nicer during a long shift. I also found that washable cotton and a small adjustable tie make the fit more forgiving.
