Guest Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hi there, as part of my topic about minibeasts, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good poem about how minibeasts move? we have done alot of work on snails so could do with a poem that mentions how diffferent minibeasts move. I guess I could make my own up but if anyone has already, than would love to see!! I thought the kids could create some group poems to perform with actions to match, use instruments etc. Also whilst I talking about minibeasts, anything with regards to spiders!! cheers guys
Guest Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hi Lottie One of the songs on the Sticky Kids CD's is about minibeasts-I suppose you could use it as a poem. It goes as follows- How does a butterfly go? Hey ho does anybody know? How does a butterfly go? A flutter, flutter all day long. How does an earthworm go? etc. A wriggle, wriggle all day long How does a little cricket go? etc. A hopping, hopping all day long. How does a cockroach go? etc. A scuttle, scuttle all day long You could ask the children for other ideas and what those insects do. Linda
Guest Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 There's a worm at the bottom of my garden And his name is Wiggly Woo There's a worm at the bottom of my garden And all that he can do - Is wiggle all night And wiggle all day Whatever else the people do say; There's a worm at the bottom of my garden And his name is Wiggly, Wig-Wig-Wiggly, Wig-Wig-Wiggly Woo-oo!
