Hi there

Can any one help me please?

We are revamping our smallish outdoor area and would like to put up a variety of interesting art work to stimulate the little folk! Being London based our main theme is based on "trees and traffic" but I am having real problems finding a bus/coach to display on our fence area. ideally it would be about 6' ish long!!! we have managed to ( legally) acquire a bus stop and feel that a bus on the fence would look fab!

Any help much appreciated.

Hi there,

promise you it's all above board. We rang tfl and told them it was to teach the children how to use a bus stop and they said "we can deliver you one today!"

Not sure if the same will work for a real bus though!

Thanks Lesley thats a great idea.

We had a chat about it at work today but could only think of using marine ply and painting it like a bus ( bit "Handy Andy")

Probably not quite what you're looking for but.... in our outdoor area we use milk crates a lot to represent a lot of things - the children loved turning them into a train for example. You could arrange milk crates and the children could 'envelope' them in red material or wrap them in rolls of lining paper and them paint them red? Would be a bit like an evolving, interactive sculpture :o Or supply the children with sections of ply wood as suggested before and then let them paint and arrange them to represent their representation of a bus - art for the children produced by the children.
