Guest Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I want to introduce a travel teddy to Pre - School. I am trying to think of a name for him - can you help me please!
JacquieL Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Why not introduce him to the children and ask them what they think he should be called?
Guest Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Thanks, that is the best idea. I have done that in the past, this time it is a little different. I am starting a new job and I want to prepare things before I get there. I am going to embroider his name on his little jacket so it is ready for taking home on his first day. I am also going to make up his birth certificate, note book, etc. with his name on.
Andreamay Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Edward Reuben Jasper Billy Barnaby Jack Nookie (perhaps not ) sorry cant think of any 'teddy' names what does he look like?
Guest Wolfie Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Has he got any special features that you could refer to in his name?!
narnia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 my teddy is called alfie bear, he was a gift from someone who loves me, on my 50th birthday, as i'd never had a teddy as a child..
Inge Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 we tried to choose names unlikely to be the same as a child in the setting, children chose one which is Sanchez... no idea why! Other one became Lola ( keep singing the kinks song when I hear that name... which shows my age as other staff keep singing a Barry Maniloe (sp?) number!!) Inge
Sue R Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Our children came up with the name 'Colin' for our Roamer!! It has stuck, and Colin appears on our planning - goodness knows what Ofsted will think The Forum travelling bear is called Callum - which reminds me - where is he?? Anyone know? Sue
Guest Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Well I have had great fun today. We ( HUBBY & I ) went to the Build -a-bear shop, chose the Teddy (BEAREMY) and his new clothes, shoes, glasses hat and slippers. He has jeans and a T-Shirt, superman pj's and a pair of trunks for the beach! On the way back we went through very sensible names, which then turned into funny ones, naughty ones, ridiculous names, back to Billy, Benjy, Bruno,Travel Teddy. It was good fun, but I still need to pick a name.
Guest Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Andreamay you chose the one my husband liked - nookie bear
Guest Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Thompson? 'first choice' and 'easyjet' don't do it although Stavross would .
Guest Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 asked the children what name they wanted ended up as GUESS WHAT ----------***** ANSWER= 'TEDDY'
Guest Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 We have a Bobby and Billy at Nursery. My son also named one of his teddies in honour of Nursery's Bobby. I think the holiday both my sons had teddies from their various classes to take away, I spent most of my holiday photographing them. The Bobby we have at home is in a very poor state is head is in constant need of reattaching!
