Guest
Hi. I'm trying to put together a power point presentation celebrating young children and I'm sure I saw some wonderful quotes on this site not too long ago. Can anyone help. Or maybe you have a quote ? Thanks for the help - as always
Guest
The one about play being children's work Peggy's one about the above and hoping their work is never finshed or something.... There is only one pretty child in the world and every mother has it." - Chinese Proverb. Children are natural mimics, who act like their parents, despite every effort to teach them good manners. Children will soon forget your presents; they will always remember your presence. - Dobson Ever notice that a human baby doesn't walk until it's tall enough to reach a parent's hand? The best inheritance parents can give their children is a few minutes of their time each day. "Many things we need can wait. The child cannot. Now is the time his bones are formed, his mind developed. To him we cannot say tomorrow, his name is today." — Gabriela Mistral "How children feel and interact is as important to their competence and success as how well they think. This has obviously very important implications for both how people raise their children, how they care for other people's children, and how we invest public funds. Thinking and feeling go hand in hand. It's not to say that thinking is less important, just not more important." — Dr. Jack Shonkoff, Brandeis University
