Nursery Door

What do you have on the front door to your setting? Ours is looking a little tired and dull. There is a multilingual poster than was nice once, but is now faded, etc. Can anyone please recommend a nice poster and some other ideas for the door?

As we are a nursery situated near to the sea we have a underwater theme on our door using stain glass effect pictures which stick to the glass and can be easily removed for cleaning. Seagulls particularly like this design and often peck at the door where the sealife is! very amusing! :D

also painting on the door with poster paints is very effective and welcoming and can be updated regularly!

I'm in a hired hall so we have a removable notice board which holds our intercom bell, notice of our theme for the week and our colour, a notice for donations for the snackbar a photo of staff.

We also place other notices of info, ie: we have gone for a walk, mobile number, and time we will return, should we have any visitors arrive when we are out. Requests for items to support our theme and an invite for parents to come in and play.

we too hire but able to put some things up so we have a welcome poster produced with the help of the children in many languages, firstly those of families we have and then some others we find in the area, also a Makaton welcome sign on it. we also put up notices which change regularly depending on need, find parents will often read something on the door but not on noticeboards!
