SmileyPR Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Hi! I am searching for 2 Christmas carols that are easy to learn for children between 3 - 5 years of age. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance !
Guest Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Away in a manger is always a good one. have you tried 'merrily to bethlehem' or carol gaily carol books which have lovely christmas songs not neccessarily carols for young children plus the new books have a cd accompianment.
Guest Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 nursery education recently had an issue about Christmas Carols - you can download the photocopiable pages from the scholastic website. These included a copy of silent night complete with makaton signs - we find signing as we sing really helps our children learn new songs. holy_night_sing___sign.pdf
hali Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 i find they will learn anything you want too if you give them long enough to do it
SmileyPR Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 Yes, we have had that experience... my Reception children... but this year our Head of Primary wants all Pre-School to do it together, including children who are not even 3 years ald yet. Last year my children did "Away in the Manger". They still remember it !
