hali Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 So girls Is there anyone out there who is planning a proposal today........................ Quote
Guest Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 I had thought about it a few months ago, but then decided that really I'm an old romantic and want him to do it! He says he wont do it till he's working full time as he wants to be able to afford to buy me a nice ring, so I can't complain. Just means I've got at least a year to wait Ahhh well, he's worth it! hali Posted February 29, 2004 Author Posted February 29, 2004 geraldine Took my two swimming this morning and a lady proposed to her man in the pool with a bouquet of flowers..... Not the most romantic of places but novel.... Quote
Susan Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 Hi lots of flowers being purchased in Sainsburys this afternoon...? didn't spot any proposals though Hali!! Susan Quote
senlgh Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 For all of you who are contemplating- remember to be aware as he might say "Yes"! My husband did 12 years ago, & we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary this weekend too. But I originally only asked him as a dare from a friend, as we'd only been together for 2 weeks! Quote
Gezabel Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 Hi It wasn't me in the swimming pool with flowers and nor was I buying them at Sainsbury's!! I have asked him all sorts of things today but not THE question! I have thought about it and decided to wait and stick with tradition and let him ask me (again!) I haven't said no to his three previous proposals more a sort of maybe! I do believe in marriage but have been married once already - we were together for 2 yrs before we married and then 12 years on the marriage ended. Maybe it's a case of once bitten twice shy, I don't know. We keep promising ourselves a dream holiday - somewhere very far away and hot! I have a big birthday next year (one of those horrible ones with a 0 on the end!!) so maybe we will do wedding, holiday, and birthday all in one go!! Quote
Susan Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 Congratulations Senlgh! Hope it was a happy one. Geraldine, you've still a few hours to change your mind! Susan Quote
