Fruit Song?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Please, I am in need of a fruit song. I have searched the forum and the Internet. I found a nice one I Love Fruits, but ... I am not sure if it would be easier for my 4 and 5 year olds to do this modern one or one that would sound like a tradional or nursery rhyme. :o

Thanks in advance!

Oranges and lemons say the bells of St Clements

I owe you five farthings say the bells of St Martins

When will you pay me say the bells of Old Bailey

When I grow rich say the bells of Shoredich

When will that be say the bells of Stepney

I do not know says the great bell of Bow

Here comes the candle to light you to bed,

Here comes the choppper to chop off your head,

Chip chop chip chop the last one's.... DEAD

Bananas bananas clap clap clap

Bananas bananas slap slap slap (slapping thighs)

Bananas bananas bump bump bump (bump neighbours hips)

Bananas bananas jump jump jump

Sounds rubbish but they love it!

There's one about a cherry tree isn't there or cherry picking?

I had a little nut tree nothing would it bear

But a silver nutmeg and a golden pear

The King of Spain's daughter came to visit me

And all for the sake of my little nut tree

Could corrupt 5 currant buns - 5 apples in a greengrocers shop, red and shiny with a stalk on the top... along came XXX with a penny one day, bought a shiny apple and took it away

Will keep thinking....

[Oh :o ! Thanks Susan! I didn't notice I forgot to change the guava!

Nice idea Pandemonium, with 'corrupting' 5 currant buns :D . I also corrupted "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush" xD . What is the title of the oranges and lemons one? Maybe I can hear the midi or mp3 sound to the song. Sorry, but I am not a native English speaker.

Thanks to all of you!

Oh, boy :( ...

I now notice that I put this topic in the wrong sub-forum... it should have been under Reception-Grade 1 / Curriculum. Sorry !!! Is there a way I can change it to the correct place?

Steve.... help please!

Could you adjust this one, found on a website and used for our Harvest on Friday. It is sung to the tune Twinkle, Twinkle little star...

Carrots, peas and brocolli

Vegetables are good for me

For my snack and for my lunch

Veggie sticks are good to munch

Carrots, peas and brocolli

Vegetables are good for me

We added some Signalong type actions and the children loved it.

:)
