JoTapestrySupport
Please note that this tutorial is aimed at those settings that use the Care Diary or Accidents features to learn how to add a body map to an accident form. To learn more about adding an accident form from the Care Diary, please see this tutorial. To learn more about adding an accident form from the Accidents feature, please see this tutorial. Adding a body map for an accident involving one child In this tutorial, we will look at how to add a body map when adding an accident form. We will look at this from the point of view of adding a body map to an accident within the Care Diary, but this works in the same way when adding an accident if you do not use the Care Diary but you have the Accidents feature enabled. We will also cover how to delete and add a new body map if you need to replace the existing body map on an accident form you have already added. You cannot edit a body map on an accident form; you can only delete the current one and add a new one. So, let's get started and take a look at the body map screens. Once you have selected the Care Diary (1), or Accidents, and you have checked the date is correct for the day you wish to make the entry (2), you will see the Care Diary entry screen for the children (we have used the filters to just show the panel for a specific child (3)). To add an accident, select the first aid kit icon (4) on the corresponding child's panel for whom you want to add the accident record. On the Accident entry screen, as covered in the Adding an Accident Form from the Accident feature tutorial, you can add the values to the fields in any order, but the fields with the asterisk indicate those fields which you must fill out. You will notice that it is not mandatory to add a body map (1), and you can still create an accident without using this option. Once you have chosen to add a body map to the accident form, you will be presented with a body map which shows front and back views of a whole person, and also larger additional images of the body's head, feet and hands. You will be shown views of the top and profiles of the head, and various different views of the left and right feet and hands. You can use the cursor (1) to draw the area on the body map where you wish to indicate any injury, etc. and this will be drawn in red on the body map (2). If you make a mistake, pressing Restart (3) will remove all the marks you have made, and allow you to start again. You can select Cancel (4) at any time to return you to the main accident entry screen. When you are finished adding your markings to the body map, you can select Save Body Map to add the body map to the accident form (5). When adding to the body map, you will be able to use the + and - buttons to enlarge and reduce the size of the image (1). The example below is what the highest magnification will look like. You can also use the arrows buttons to move the image to the left or right, or up and down while the image is magnified (2). Alternatively, with the cursor you can move the navigation bars at the sides to also move the magnified image left or right, or up and down (3 and 4). You can also use the up, down and left/right arrow keys on your keypad to move the image up, down or across. All the function buttons, to Cancel, Restart or Save Body Map work the same way of the image is magnified, but you may wish to reduce the size back to the original view of the body map, just to make sure you get a whole view of the body map before saving. Once you have saved your body map, you will be returned to the accident entry screen and the body map will now be shown (1). At this stage you can chose to remove the body map (2), and if you do this, the screen will now change to again present you with the option to Add body map, in case you wish to add a new one. You cannot edit a body map on Tapestry; in order to make a change, you will need to remove and then re-add a new body map to the accident form. Please note, that any change to an accident form, such as deleting and re-adding a body map, will require manager authorisation and/or parental sign-off again as covered in this tutorial on adding accident forms. Once you are happy with the body map, and the other information required to create the accident form, selecting Create (1) will add the accident to the list requiring approval or discussion. You may wish to add accident forms for multiple children at one time (1), and you can do this as shown below from the main Care Diary screen by ticking the select box on the relevant children's Care Diary panels, and by selecting the first aid kit icon (2) as shown below to add an accident entry, this allows you to create accident entries for multiple children rather than needing to select the first aid kit icon on the Care diary panel for the individual child. This will allow you to add one accident report for more than one child, and will then allow you to edit these separately or together and to add and remove body maps individually as required. When created, the accident forms will appear individually on the child's own Care Diary Overview page. Viewing a body map on an accident form. You can view the body map on the accident form when you view the child's entries when you select the overview icon from the child's Care Diary panel (1). By ticking the box next to any entry (1), including accidents, you will be shown the option to edit (2) or delete (3) any entry for that child selected. This includes an option to remove and if you wish to, add a new body map to the select accident form. To do this, you will need to chose Edit (2) to make changes to the accident form. You will also see the body map when viewing any accidents in the Accident Tracker, by selecting Tracking from the main menu (1), selecting the Care Diary (or Accidents) (2), and selecting Accident Tracking (3). You will be able to see any body maps associated with an accident on this screen, using the filters (1) and date ranges (2) provided to help you search for the accident entries you require for all children, specific child or group of children if you have groups set up. If body maps are added to accident entries, these will also appear in the download of any accident forms you export (3) for an individual child or a group of children, and in the Download Overview Summary (4). Great! This covers what you will need to know about how you can add body maps to your accident forms, and how you can view these in the enquiry screens, download and exports that Tapestry provides to support accident recording and reporting!
