Enabling Memos

N.B. Please note that, at the moment, staff can only create Memos from the browser version of Tapestry, which you can access from any desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone by navigating to www.tapestryjournal.com. However, both staff and relatives are able to read and reply to memos from the apps as long as they are working on iOS app version 4.2.0 or above, and Android app version 4.0.1 or above.

In this tutorial I will show you how to enable the Memos feature, review your User Permissions and create a new Memo.

You can enable the Memos feature by clicking on your username in the top right (1), selecting Control Panel (2), and then Features (3).

You then just need to scroll down to the Memos option and click 'Enable'.

Once you've done that you will see some extra options appear.

The first one, 'Memo Settings' (1) will take you to a screen where you can select whether you would like hashtags to work within your Memos.

The other two options will link you to your staff and relative user permissions (2).

We recommend you review your permissions now, but if not you can return to them later from the User Permissions page on the Control Panel.

Your Staff User Permissions will look like this (see below). You can choose whether all or specific staff members can add, delete and restore memos, as well as comment and download media from them.

Permissions for Relatives include being able to comment, like and download media.

Once you are happy with your User Permissions, you can start making new Memos! This tutorial will talk you through how to do this.
