Ratios

Hi

I wasn't sure where to post this , just a query;

What is the ratios in a nursery class, 3 & 4 year olds in a school, I understand the QTS/teacher is 1 - 13 ratio, but there is also a level two TA and the class size can go up 26? is this right?

Yes that is correct. Although, I think at the 1st TA has to be level 3?

so one teacher ratios 1-13, then a TA with a level 3 early years qualification can also ratio at 1-13 wow, only I thought level three was 1-8?

i know the TA only has a level two early years qualification qualification

it seems to me that the rules say that if the headteacher in school says it's ok then it is....or maybe that's just my experience!!

I've just checked and I was right: in a school nursery there should be one teacher and at least 1 other with a level 3 or above. Ratio 1:13. 

This is how we currently work and it isn't easy!
