MelH73
Hi Just about to start out with Tapestry and would like to know which iPads people have? What do people think is the best one for Nursery use?
Mouseketeer
Hi and welcome to the fsf, we use Amazon fires (7”) at the moment, they seem fine, and often come up on £29.99 offers, the only thing I would say is of 7 bought at the same time, same settings the photo quality on 2 of them isn’t great (but passable), before that we had Samsung tab 2 all refurbs and they worked and lasted well too. My preference would be iPads if budget allowed :-)
Stargrower
We don't use tablets and don't use Tapestry in "real time". We take photos on cameras then key people have time out each week to write up obs on Tapestry and upload photos.
FSFRebecca
Welcome to the FSF MelH73! Lovely to have you! I'm going to move your post to the Tapestry user conversation area as you might get more replies there - in my nursery we use the Amazon Fire tablets and, as Mouseketeer says, they are cheap and cheerful. I tend to 'stock up' when they are on special offer and this has worked well for the last few years. As others have said the image quality isn't as good as iPads but they are perfectly adequate for what we need.
Emma_Morrison
I am a childminder and have used the fire tablet in the past. They worked well for tapestry but I found the lack of basic apps on it for other tasks very frustrating. I have recently given in and switched to an iPad. It’s expensive but everything works seamlessly on it. Well worth the money. Xx
