The most likely explanation is that the activation emails have been filtered into their spam boxes. Would you be able to ask them to check there?

If they can't see them then the emails might have already been automatically deleted. Not to worry though! You can either send them a password reset email (although this might also get sent to their spam box, so they should check there as soon as they can and add noreply@tapestryjournal.com to their approved senders list) or you can set them a password manually. In both cases just use the cog next to their names in the manage relatives section of your control panel.
