Hi All

Ive just started a new job which is paid weekly and the holiday pay all paid in the summer holiday.

Does anyone know how I make a voluntary national insurance contributions to ensure that I have complete years of pension credits?

Also would this ensure that I was entitled to statutory sick pay if needed?

I found out the answer.

You can't make voluntary contributions if you are employed but can ring at the end of the year to ensure you have a complete years contributions for pension credits depending on how much you have earned. You can then pay the extra if needed.

Unfortunately statutory benefits aren't covered as you need to have earnt over £112 for the past 8 weeks to qualify and obviously working term time only would never work that many without a half term / holiday.
