Nursery Deputy Manager, Lewes, nr Brighton

This is a great opportunity to join The Old School House Montessori Nursery - our beautiful, calm and child-centred setting in the heart of Lewes.

You'll be joining a successful, well-run setting with engaged and talented staff. As we show prospective parents around they often remark on how happy and focused the children are, playing with one another but also learning from the rich educational experiences we provide.

You'll work with an experienced and caring Manager and owners who are passionate about early years education. You'll collaborate closely with all three of us, often as the public face of the nursery and deputising for the Manager.;

This job would suit an experienced early years professional who has worked in nurseries for at least two years. You'll probably be a Deputy Manager or Room Leader already and you'll certainly share our passion for early years education. Your skills will include:

• At least NVQ Level 3 or above. (Montessori training is provided as needed).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of managing a team.
• A happy and kind disposition.

The salary is in line with the best in the sector. The annual leave is 28 days in your first year, and more over time. Other benefits include subsidised childcare, free training (including in the Montessori method and equipment), and a pension scheme.

We have a car park on site, we are 10 minutes' walk from the train station and a bus to Brighton stops one-minute's walk away.
