Guest
We have our first child with EYPP, but he only started in the Spring term and is leaving at the end of the summer, so not sure when we will get the money and if we will get it on time to benefit him. He also doesn't have any particular need, so not sure what we will do with the money! Thanks for the forms though, I was wondering how to go about recording it. bubblejack
If a child is not below in any way I buy resources to support their next steps.
SewandSew
Hi we have our first child with EYPP and i would be interested to know what others have done with the money when they only had one or two children. The child has no particular needs so we are struggling with what to do. I know other settings get in a lady who does great language session but they have more than one child. This child would not like the session on her own but if we did it as a group other children would benefit from her money.
lsp
We now wait until the money is in our bank - which means the following term. We only have one or two each term. We have used it to buy better quality or upgrade resources. I will have four children this time. I am looking at CAL resources or training. First term it was introduced we used it to purchase plates, saucepans etc and provided one hot meal for six weeks as part of our transition process. The meal was provided free to any children that were booked in for lunch session. We only had one child eligible for EYPP and they were going to school so we didn't have long to improve their outcomes. We had feedback from primary school that children were struggling with lunch. thumperrabbit
I only ever had 1 and the extra funding we got wouldn't go anywhere near paying for training! Ours didn't need anything extra either so we just purchased some new turn taking games as ALL children always need help with this

We have used ours for a dance session once a term, which as long as that child is present it doesn't matter if the other children benefit as well. JJA
I've used EYPP funding towards the following... SAL training for 6 staff ('Talk About') A market stall to help a little girl with social interactions Resources, books and bags for 'take home' play packs A course on 'travellers' and resources to go with this 'Early Talker' pack of activities Paying for a theatre trip, as they couldn't afford to go otherwise! Hope that gives some ideas...
