thumperrabbit
I've had a response to the reply I sent regarding 'that' email from Ofsted! Well they've definitely checked things and have pulled me up on a few areas! 2 members apparently aren't cleared to be on committee - I have DBS certificates and their letter giving clearance for one and the other is staff and has an old CRB from when Ofsted did them (so for committee perhaps this isn't good enough?) - so I will ring them about that one! The other thing is they have checked Charity Commission to make sure comm members match to what they have - currently mine differ because the accounts from last financial year haven't been audited yet and therefore I still have a member from last year on there - our financial end is 31st Aug, books are still with auditor and I'm within Charity commission response time so not overdue - my 1 new member (mentioned above) isn't yet on Charity site because the info is still for last year as my accounts haven't been filed - I haven't yet added her because she doesn't relate to the accounts that need to be filed So my question is when do you enter your people onto Charity site?? I think if I put my new people on now, my accountant will say that doesn't match what the accounts she currently has says. Hope that makes sense - I'm working the way I was told 10 years ago and nobody has ever said anything before!!
lsp
I had a response yesterday. I understood from their original letter that the nominated person in section B needed to be a member of the committee.I was originally the nominated person but not on the committee so I put down our Treasurer. Of course, I completely forgot that I needed to inform Ofsted of this change. So, the feedback I have received is that the information in section B is different. This is the only problem. Thumper, I have committee members who are staff and still on CRB'S. We inform the charity commission of changes after our AGM when the accounts are sent to them. I think it can be updated online. Foreveryoung
They used companies house to check our committee and we put them on there straight away as they wont accept EY2 until they was on and names match perfectly. I too have committee members with CRB but CRB done by Ofsted not setting. I've still yet to submit my details it's on my to do list lol

Thank you for your response - so are your accounts audited and filed onto Charity Commission before you have your AGM?

Thank you for your response - well that's never happened to me as I've always worked obviously different to how they want it! I too have committee members with CRB but CRB done by Ofsted not setting. Yes this is exactly the one I / Ofsted have the problem with, it is a staff member, who is committee, and who has been with us since when Ofsted did the checks on all staff approx 7 years.
