westMidlands Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi, please can anyone recommend any good hr/employment lawyers within West Midlands or nationwide? Came across citation from ndna but they seem a bit expensive. Thank you Quote
Foreveryoung Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Is it a HR firm or actual lawyer you need? if it's a firm for general advice or to take over/lead a current issue including claim then company we use is good Quote
westMidlands Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Hello, I am looking for someone to consult on our employment contracts or someone to speak to any employment matters. Thanks Quote
Foreveryoung Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 We use wirehouse, I carnt speak highly enough of them. As part of sign up to them they re do all contracts and provide blank contracts ready for new starters, complete staff handbook and guide you through the implementation of these also phone and online advice service. I must ask a question per week online about various things, we are looking at extending hours and adding in training claw back statement and I just throw it to them and they deal with it. It's very much ask and they will tell you what your options are in the best interest of your company. Legal assurance too in event of any claim as long as you follow their advice during any issues ie disciplinary. After dealing with law call and acas during a very tricky time these guys were amazing much better service. The guy that I speak to is lovely I have his contact details somewhere if you want them X Quote

Chris_Wood Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) We use Citation, we regularly use the Employment Law department for querying how to best deal or approach staff on numerous issues. They are able to provide templates and will look at anything you have already produced. Yes, they are expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for, and in Citations case, you certainly do. They over see all your Contracts of Employment and Employee Handbooks are nicely bound in files, which look great for staff. They provide online training as well which I now use for all new starting staff members, from Fire Extinguisher and Step Lad use to Bullying and Harassment in the workplace. You get some nice framed certificates for your wall to say you are compliant for Employment law and Health and Safety. They also come out regularly, every year to check that you are still working through the Health and Safety report and find out how things are going. We used to use Stephensons Soliciters, (also through the NDNA) however they would hardly reply to any emails or calls you made. Edited January 7, 2016 by Chris_Wood Quote
