Fredbear
We currently have a student with us completing her Level 3. They also did their level 2 with us . I will be looking to employ somebody to provide 1 on 1 support for a child joining us in September. I consider them to be an ideal candidate to apply but my question is can they. even though their training isn't finished until November. All thoughts appreciated. Susan
I would have thought so but I could be wrong! You would need to cover her if she was not in the workplace obviously.
Fredbear
They actually go to college on a day that the child would not attend.
lashes2508
Yes I see no reason not too , you feel they are a suitable candidate, you know them well and has observed their work and they hold a relevant qualification already.
Guest youngrisers
There is nothing under the statutory framework that states that students cannot be included in your ratio,s providing you adhere to the rules. see section 3.29 As she will be completing her qualification in the Autumn term this gives you chance to supervise the student as she finishes her time at college and to put her on trial basis through her induction with your setting. She can be included if over 17 in the ratio's if you regard her performance as competent and responsible. hope this helps you to make a decision.
