Guest
I have had 3 staff hand in their notice over the course of 3 days all in the same room. They are very close friends and all going to the same nursery. Obviously this is going to be a big change for the children/parents and the existing staff, and I want to support this transition to be easy as possible. Has anyone been in this situation before or could offer any ideas, would be helpful. Thank you
lashes2508
Start advertising immediately , exit interviews and maybe now move other staff around so they are familiar with how the room runs to aid transition , talk to the children about what's happening and the parents
Inge
Agree with lashes.. you need to be moving staff around now so that this area does not end up with lots of new staff at the same time - it will allow the children and parents to have some continuity and new staff will not be thrown into one area where they are all learning a new setting, routine, children etc. and begin recruiting.. fast..
chez29
Oh no but I have had exactly the same thing this week also. There was big fall with staff and Friday and then two handed in there notice. I know its going to be a pain to recruit especially at such a hard time to recruit. Exit interviews will be key I think.
