Role play for behaviour and sensory training

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I am running some internal training for staff around behaviour management strategies and sensory training.

I would like to do some role play just to liven things up and wondered if anybody had some ideas of either what they have experienced themselves that was effective of that they have run as training???

thanks

will be interested to see your replies as going to do some staff training this week too and had thought about this subject.

i have just done some training on conflict resolution , was a taster course, and they said to look on youtube under highscope resolving minor conflicts or 6 steps approach to conflict resolution - not tried it yet but might be a help?

I often use 'speed dating' type exercises to get everyone talking. Have two rows of chairs facing each other. Have a range of scenarios typed out and placed on each chair on one row. Give each pair a couple of moments to discuss scenario and then get them to move in opposite directions to look at next scenario etc. They should look at several scenarios each and also work with different team members. In my experience, this works much better than than role play...

Does that make sense??
