Mixed age planning - Nursery/Rec/Year 1

Hi everyone,

I am not new to EYFS but this year in our very small school (42 children) we have introduced nursery into the EYFS/Year 1, which certainly changes the dynamics of the class. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on planning for three age groups? especially in view of child led planning and next steps

Hi and welcome. I'd be tempted to plan for them in a similar way to your reception children. Have you looked at abcdoes.com? His objective led planning through continuous provision might be useful in a setting like yours?

Thanks for the link to abcdoes... it looks like a good way to move forward. Its a shame that the planning sheets aren't downloadable though.

I only have nursery in the mornings then joined by Year 2 in the afternoon
