In our setting we are all in one big room together, currently we have all of the activities for the day out, for all children to access, as we are now taking two year olds I feel the things we used to do aren't quite working anymore - what do you do? lashes2508 Posted November 9, 2014 Share Posted November 9, 2014 We too are the same but it can work , just reflect on your provision , what's working and not and why , download the community playthings document , a good place to be 2 , we do separate for some large group activities but otherwise that's it. Harmony1985 Posted November 11, 2014 Share Posted November 11, 2014 We've always been a 2-4 room but with losing a lot of our older children and gaining a lot of younger /immature children, we took a good look at our provision. Lots of open ended play with sensory experiences and key types of play. We have kept our routine the same. We have the use of the schools gym hall on a Tuesday and we alternate between the 2's and the 3+'s each week for time in there, then we split them by age for carpet time to do a letters and sounds activity.
