Jeany Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Just reading Nursery World article and read this "From this September, Ofsted for the first time is finding out what qualifications staff in nurseries have and then we're going to be looking at the outcomes they achieve and I think that's the way we should be doing it.'" What does this relate too?
HappyMaz Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Who has written the article, Jeany? And is this a quote from a named person? I hadn't heard anything about this, so I'll be interested to know more.

HappyMaz Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Well I read that to mean that Ofsted will be compiling data on settings relating inspection outcomes to the level of qualification held by the highest qualified practitioner employed. So no pressure then! Of course that's just my interpretation - maybe the Ofsted inspectors among us have some knowledge to share? :1b
SueJ Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Taken from the Early years report template (near the bottom of page 3) "the number of staff and a brief overview of their qualifications, including any who have early years professional status or qualified teacher status" Full early years report template available from: http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/report-template-for-early-years-inspections-guidance
Jeany Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 But that is already happening. The Nursery World statement suggests there is a change in September 14 or is it more they will gather the data from September?
