catma
Re Progress checks, as I understand it, they are for the parent. Parents can be encouraged to share but don't have to. They have to be completed between 24 and 36 months, so a child maybe 2 but the check could be done within the year. When children move they may not have had it done because they are not yet 3 if you see what I mean! From the L+D requirements: 2.5 Practitioners should encourage parents and/or carers to share information from the progress check with other relevant professionals, including their health visitor, and/or a teacher (if a child moves to school-based provision at age three)...Providers must have the consent of parents and/or carers to share information directly with other relevant professionals, if they consider this would be helpful. SazzJ
Oh I still do a two year progress report as we do them termly for all children. Thankfully though our HV's seem to be in the ball and all children attending have had 2 year checks with them
