Emotional development

virtually everthing you do in good practise will support their s/e/dev. From listening to them /responding to their ideas suporting sharing and taking turns etc etc etc. I would suggest critical thinking and emotional literacy are the things to develop with your staff ...any training on offer in your area? there was a fab post about critical thinking on here the other day which was very useful. Activities could include things like self portraits/emotion puppets/pictures about themselves/their families etc

I'm in the middle of re-reading Marion Dowling's "Young Children's Personal, Social and Emotional Development" and can't recommend it highly enough if you're looking for practical ideas and tips. There's a whole chapter on Emotional Well-Being that will give you lots of ideas.
