Hi, Has anyone been and could suggest which area of Germany to visit. Would be flying from Manchester. Thanks

We're going to Munich this year.

Went to Dusseldorf a few years ago, and that was nice with lots of little markets everywhere. Whilst there we got the train to Cologne for the day- but didn't really enjoy that as it was just a 'mass-market' type place.

I know it's not Germany but Brugge in Belgium is beautiful

Berlin could be a good choice, they have a big market but lots of the districts also have the smaller ones...

German Christmas markets

may be worth looking at the flights and deciding from there... that is how we usually decide where to go from our local airport.

We went to Frankfurt (3 years ago) - again decided by finding suitable flights. It was a fabulous experience. I hope you enjoy your visit.
