jasminerose
Hi, a child in my setting has an interest in volcanos, could you share your ideas with me on how to expand this ?
garrison
make a volcano out of playdoh or papier mache. Put a small container in the hole and add white vinegar, bicarb and orange food colouring - it then explodes. My nursery kids always love it
Guest
If you have any access to write dance there is a volcano dance, it almost draws a volcano by actions, haven't got it with me but the music is drumming, starting by using arms and body from base to top of volcano, spurting actions from head for stones etc coming out, flicking hands for ash and stones, and then I think there is thunder and lightening, but you could make your own actions with suggestions from the child. We are doing dinosaurs an will be incorporating some volcanos. has he been watching volcano watch
